Allegany County: Public Hearing set on role of County Administrator

The Allegany County Legislature will conduct a public hearing on the role of the County Administrator. The hearing has been scheduled for March 14 at 2 p.m. and will be held in the legislative chambers. The hearing deals with amending a 1992 local law dealing with the function (and removal) of the Administrator. The amendments impact the powers and duties of the office, mode of selection and removal and the term of office.
Former County Administrator John Margeson currently holds the job on an interim basis, following the departure of Mitchell Alger.
