Almond man faces drug charge after I-390 stop

INTERSTATE 390 AVON: Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of Martin E. Moses, 62, of Almond, N.Y., for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree following a traffic stop on Interstate 390 in the Town of Avon. 
Sheriff's Deputy Shawn Whitford conducted a traffic stop on I-390 for an alleged speed infraction and an equipment violation. During the traffic stop it was alleged that Moses was in possession of several Oxycodone pills, which are a scheduled two controlled substance, and he did not have a prescription for this drug.

Moses was taken into custody and transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and arraignment.  Moses was arraigned on February 28th before Judge Piampiano in Avon Town Court.   The Judge held Moses on $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond.    Moses is being held in the Livingston County Jail.
