Big 30 Coaches Bios 2016

The Big 30 Charities Classic Committee is pleased to announce this years coaching staffs for the 2016 all-star game.
This year’s New York Head Coach is Christopher Fee, head coach at Cuba-Rushford High School. Chris has spent 4 years as an assistant coach before taking over the reigns the last 4 years at Cuba-Rushford. Chris and his wife Megan reside in Olean N.Y. Chris has been a History teacher for 7 years. Joining Chris on this year’s staff is Matt Jones. He is from Caneadea N.Y. Matt has been an assistant for 4 years, and has served as defensive coordinator at C-R. He and his wife Nicole have 4 children, Zachary (19), Jake (17), Dylan (16) and Grant (14). Next to join the N.Y. staff is Chris Cappelletti. Chris has spent 4 years as an assistant coach and 17 years as a head coach. Chris brings a lot of coaching experience to the table and will be a great asset to the staff. Chris has worked for 20 years as a Tech Integrator. He and his wife Jennifer have 2 children, Nicholas (22), and Casey (21). The final addition to the staff is David Baron. David has 4 years as an assistant and 14 years head coaching experience. David coached the N.Y. state Big 30 team in 2005, and was named Big 30 Coach of the Year in 2007. David was named Livingston County Athletic Association Coach of the year in 2008, and Section V Class D Coach of the Year in 2008. David and his wife Angela reside in Bolivar N.Y. with their one child Alex (10).

This year’s Pennsylvania Head Coach is Jim Berlin, head coach at Smethport High School. Jim spent 5 years as an assistant coach, and the last 3 years as head coach at Smethport. He is presently employed by TSL. Inc. Jim has worked for 12 years as a logger and in 2015 was named logger of the year. Jim was a Big 30 game alumnus in 1997. In addition Jim was Big 30 Defensive Player of the year in the 1997-98. Jim and his wife Amber have 4 children, Torri Johnson (19), Tierra Johnson (19), Bryent Johnson (14), and Braedon Johnson (12). Jim will be joined on the sidelines by Gary Howes Jr. a 5 year assistant at Smethport, serving now as Jim’s defensive coordinator.  He works as a Machinist and is married to his wife Rachel they have 2 children named Michael Miles and Tyler Howes. In addition Adam Jack a 4 year assistant at Smethport will also join the staff for Pa. Adam works as a Financial Advisor. He is married to his wife Michele and they have 3 children Lindsay (17), Marissa (15), and Parker (12). And rounding out the Pennsylvania coaching staff is Ryan Yingling. Ryan served as an assistant at Smethport for 13 years and 2 years as head coach. Ryan is married to his wife Kellie, they have 4 children.
