Little Genesee woman accused of bringing drugs to jail

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that following an investigation at the Allegany County Jail, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and deputies arrested Darlene M. Learn, age 57, of 8175 State Route 417 in Little Genesee, for the following charges:
-  Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree.
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree.
- Possession of a Controlled Substance by Ultimate Users Original Container.
The arrest stems from an incident in which Learn allegedly introduced thirteen Hydrocodone pills into the Allegany County Jail during the booking process on other, unrelated charges. Learn was arrested without incident at her residence, processed, arraigned in the Town of Amity Court where she was released to the custody of the Allegany County Probation Department.  Learn is to reappear in the Town of Amity Court on March 30th, 2016 for additional court action.
