WELLSVILLE — Margaret E. Dick Weimer, 103, formerly of Richburg, passed away Thursday (Feb. 4, 2016) at Highland Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. Margaret was born on Aug. 23, 1912, in the township of Wirt. She was a daughter of Fred and Margaret Kriley Dick. On Dec. 20, 1941, during World War II, she married her husband of 69 years, Albert L. Weimer, who predeceased her Feb. 20, 2011. She graduated from Richburg High School in 1928 and later graduated from Westbrook Academy in Olean. She was employed as a secretary at Ferris & Forbes, Inc., in Bolivar prior to retiring. She was a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church and the Bolivar Buttrick Chapter 109 Order of the Eastern Star, having joined in 1935. She was also a member of the Wellsville Grand Squares and Friendship Swingers. Margaret enjoyed her music, violin playing, roller-skating, swimming, solving crypt-ograms and square dancing for over 30 years. She also enjoyed trips to London, Branson, Alaska, Hawaii, and trips to meet Al’s Army buddies. Surviving are a daughter, Joan Tucker of Scio; a son, Alyn Weimer of Allentown; four grandchildren, Troy (Rhonda) Tucker of Danielsville, Pa., Tricia (Rick) Herritt of Andover, Ryan (Mary) Weimer of Scio and Tanya (Doug) Scholla of Scio; 10 great-grandchildren, Wesley, Olivia, Griffin, Carter, Jack, Carolyn, Haley, Benjamin, Mason and Cassidy; several nephews; one niece; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Joyce Weimer; a son-in-law, Tom Tucker; a brother, Fred; and two sisters, Mary and Onalee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Margaret’s name be made to the Allentown United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 5815 Route 417, Allentown, NY 14707. Arrangements are under direction of the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar.
