Obituary: Raymond J. Kayes, 55, Bolivar

Raymond J. Kayes, 55, of the 351 Main Street, Bolivar passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 unexpectedly shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital. Born on June 5, 1960, in Olean, he was a son  of Richard J. and Camellia Howe Kayes. He had been a cab driver for Alle-Catt Taxi in Olean for many years prior to becoming ill. Raymond was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan, enjoyed hunting, and watching NASCAR and wrestling.  He had a personality that loved to joke with people and will be remembered for being able to fill a room with laughter. Surviving are a sister, Mariam Ordway of Salamanca; a nephew Larry Ordway of Olean and many other nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased his lifelong companion Pam Lamb, and siblings Henry Kayes, Richard Kayes, JR., Florence Mosher, Camellia Kayes, Catherine Flannigan. There will be no visitation or funeral services.  Burial in Maple Lawn Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under direction of the Schaffner Funeral Home, Inc., Bolivar.
