‘Turtle’ sentenced for helping in Parks slaying - Times Herald

LITTLE VALLEY — The accomplice in the August 2014 shooting death of Otis Lamont Parks, aka Lamont Clemons, was sentenced to 7 ½ to 15 years in state prison Monday in Cattaraugus County Court.

Judge Ronald Ploetz issued the punishment to Thomas C. “Turtle” Hall, 54, of Olean, who pleaded guilty in November to second-degree criminal facilitation, a class C felony. It was the maximum sentence allowable.

Hall admitted to being at the scenic overlook along Route 16 South in Allegany, where Parks was shot execution-style between Aug. 7 and 8, and helping convicted killer Gary Maull, 29, of Olean, in a failed attempt to hide the body. Read more...
