Wyoming County: Deputies stop alleged drug smuggling effort at jail

Investigation and quick action by Wyoming County Jail Correction Officers led to the arrest of Danielle M. Sundown, 33 of Warsaw. Deputies said she allegedly attempted to smuggle marijuana into the Wyoming County Jail.  Sundown was stopped by Correction Officers just before she entered the inmate visitation area, and upon officers questioning Sundown she allegedly swallowed an item that she had hidden in her mouth.  The item, police said, was described by Sundown as two marijuana joints, and was intended to go to a Wyoming County inmate during the visitation.   Sundown was arrested and charged with Attempted Promoting Prison Contraband in the Second Degree.  Sundown was scheduled to answer the charge in the Village of Warsaw Court on March 7, 2016.
