Helms promoted at Jones Memorial in Wellsville

Jim Helms has accepted the position of Vice President of Finance at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.
 Helms has been the hospital’s Director of Health Information Management/Revenue Cycle since 2013. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and recently earned his certification as a Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Fellow. Jim has also served as the hospital’s IT Project Manager and the Co
rporate Compliance Officer. After earning an associate degree from Alfred State College, Jim earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University. He has also done voluntary training for other professionals who are working toward HFMA certification.
Jim has served in the US Army Reserves for 24 years and has achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major. An avid runner, he volunteered to serve as chairman of the hospital’s annual RidgeWalk & Run. He is the finance officer for American Legion Post 702 in Wellsville as well as a director and finance committee member for the Alfred State College Development Fund Board.
