Pennsylvania State House approves medical marijuana bill

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives today passed a bill that would allow for medical marijuana use. Locally, State Rep. Martin Causer (McKean) supported the measure, however Rep. Matt Baker (Potter) voted against the bill, saying “I can not remember the last time a body voted on a bill in direct violation of federal law.” The bill will now go back to the Senate for a final vote before it can head to the governor’s desk. Governor Wolf has said he will sign legislation for medical marijuana.
