Possible robbery reported at Five Star Bank - Times Herald

OLEAN — A possible robbery attempt was reported shortly after 11 a.m. today at the Five Star Bank location on the corner of West State and North First streets.

An Olean City Police Department patrolman monitoring the scene, who preferred not to be identified until the investigation uncovers more information, said police are looking for an unknown black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans with specific designs.

It is unknown if the assailant brandished a weapon and made threats, and if he entered the front door or approached a drive-thru teller window on the building's north side.

It is also unknown if the man made away with any cash.

No injuries have been reported to this point.
