State Police make several weekend arrests in Steuben County

Troopers in Steuben County reported the following arrests on March 19 and 20, 2016:

An investigation by the New York State Police in Bath on 3/18/16 has resulted in charges against a Hammondsport man. On 3/19/16 John G. Orsino, 57, of 53 Main St. Hammondsport, NY was charged with Forcible Touching, a class “A” Misdemeanor. State Police Investigator Jennifer Cole said the arrest stems from an incident where Orsino allegedly had unwanted contact with a female subject while at his residence. Orsino was arraigned and released on his own recognizance with an Order of Protection issued. Orsino is scheduled to re-appear in court at a later date.
A 45-year old man faces multiple counts following a shoplifting complaint in the town of Bradford. State police arrested Eric Morse of Tyrone, charging him with petit larceny, DWI and having a BAC above .08%. He was released to a third party.

A vehicle and traffic stop by the New York State Police in Wayland on 3/19/16 has resulted in charges against a Rochester man and woman. Brian J. Jones, 32, of 187 Cady St. Rochester, NY was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class “B” Felony, Resisting Arrest, a class “A” Misdemeanor, Reckless Endangerment 2nd, a class “A” Misdemeanor, and V& T charges. Jones was arraigned Town of West Sparta Court and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 property bond. Felicia Johnson, 25, of 49 Troup St. Rochester, NY was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, and released on an appearance ticket returnable Town of Wayland Court at a later date. 
Police alleged that a Corning woman drove drunk on route 53 in the town of Wheeler. Troopers charged 31-year old Kristy Whitehead with aggravated DWI and other traffic counts. She was issued appearance tickets and released pending court action.
