Steuben approves shared services

BATH – A shared services agreement between Steuben and Schuyler counties will soon be in place, with Steuben legislators approving the plan Monday. The agreement provides for the counties to share a Department of Social Services staff development coordinator, with Schuyler County paying 40 percent of the person’s salary and benefits. The position typically pays $71,000 - $88,000. In other action, legislators:

*Authorized Steuben to participate in tax certiorari proceedings in the City of Corning.
*Reclassified a position within the District Attorney’s Office.
*Set the 10 a.m. July 15 at Haverling High School in Bath for the 2016 Delinquent Real Property Tax Auction.
