Wellsville: Village Board agrees to purchase equipment, deal with budget approval

The Wellsville Village Board voted Monday night to conduct a public hearing on its 2016-17 budget on April 11. No budget specifics were discussed. The board also voted to spend up to $85,000 for a new snow plow truck for the public works department. Trustees also agreed to spend $70,000 for a new quad-cab dump truck for the electric department.
The board also agreed to accept a surplus vehicle gift from the fire department. The vehicle would be used as an 'equipment' vehicle for the department of public works. Trustee Randy Shayler noted the vehicle would require some maintenance before it is placed in service.
