Allegany County: Deputies arrest Wayne Mesler of Cuba

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on April 11th, 2016, deputies were notified by the Corrections Division that an inmate, who is currently incarcerated at the Allegany County Jail on other charges, had allegedly violated a Temporary Order of Protection on numerous occasions, by contacting the protected party named in the Temporary Order of Protection. Following an investigation, deputies then arrested Wayne E. Mesler Jr. age 24, from Cuba New York and charged him with five (5) separate counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. Mesler was processed and then transported to the Town of Amity Court where he was arraigned and committed to the Allegany County Jail on $15,000.00 Cash Bail or $30,000.00 Property Bond.  Mesler will reappear in the Town of Amity Court on April 27th, 2016, for additional court action. The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office with this investigation.
