Andover man arrested, jailed on felony burglary charges


On Saturday, the New York State Police at SP North Hornell and SP Wayland arrested 25 year-old Joel Grossman of Andover, NY for two counts of felony Burglary 3rd. The investigation stems from a Steuben County 911 call reporting a burglary to an address in the Town of Canisteo on April 22, 2016.  A press release further stated that on April 23, 2016, a suspicious person call was made to 911 for the same general area as the burglary report made the day before.  According to State Police Investigator Brent Bernard, Grossman was located by area patrols and ultimately taken into custody.  Grossman was remanded to Steuben County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 property bond by the Honorable Justice Watches.  Grossman is scheduled to return to court on April 27, 2016. State Police were assisted by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Canisteo Police Dept. in the investigation.
