Angelica man arrested during traffic stop on I-390, again

INTERSTATE 390 AVON:  Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of an Angelica resident for driving while ability impaired by drugs. On April 26, 2016 at about 9:21 p.m. Deputy Brandan Flickner of the Sheriff’s STOP-DWI Unit conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 390 in the Town of Avon for a vehicle and traffic violation.
The Deputy Sheriff spoke with the male operator of the vehicle, Zeb K. Davis, 29, and allegedly observed several signs that led him to believe the operator was possibly operating the motor vehicle in an impaired condition. Davis performed roadside field sobriety tests, which ultimately led to his arrest for driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Davis was transported back to the Sheriff’s Office headquarters in Geneseo for a drug evaluation.  At the conclusion of the drug evaluation, according to a press release, it was Deputy Flickner’s expert opinion as a Drug Recognition Expert that Davis was under the influence of a Central Nervous System Stimulant and a Narcotic Analgesic and was unable to operate a vehicle safely.
Davis was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and a vehicle and traffic violation.  Davis was turned over to Deputies at the Livingston County Jail to be processed and arraigned today.
Assisting was Deputy Matthew Thomas, also of the Sheriff’s STOP-DWI Unit.
In June 2015 Davis was stopped on Interstate 390 in the Town of Avon and was arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
