Coudersport man appointed to U.S. Naval Academy

Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) has announced that Mr. Darren Keglovits of Coudersport, Potter County, has accepted a fully qualified appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.  Darren is the son of Erik and Christie Keglovits.
“Darren has proven that he knows the value of hard work, ranking at the top of his class, volunteering in his community and lettering in several varsity sports,” Thompson said.  “I know that same work ethic will be essential to his future success in the U.S. Naval Academy.”
In addition to ranking at the top of his class at Coudersport Area Junior/Senior High School, Mr. Keglovits has earned letters in multiple years for football, basketball and track and field.  He is also a member of the National Honor Society and served as class president during his junior year.
Mr. Keglovits’ grandparents are Joseph and Dolores Keglovits of Nazareth, and Richard and March Buchanan of Coudersport.
