Cuba police make arrests after reported stabbing - UPDATED

Cuba Police Chief Dustin Burch tells RNN that arrests have been made following a report of a fight with a possible stabbing involving a knife in the village of Cuba. The alleged incident occurred this past weekend at a local pub. The victim was transported to Olean General Hospital for treatment, according to radio reports. Police said Damean M. Kessler, 22, of Cuba was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree and menacing 2nd degree. Kessler was processed and sent to the Allegany County Jail on $2,000 bail. Also arrested was Jacob Cornelius, 24, of Black Creek on charges of criminal mischief 4th degree. Cornelius was processed and released to appear at a later date. These charges stem from Cornelius allegedly damaging a police vehicle.
Kessler made headlines in 2015 when he was arrested on felony charges for allegedly causing more than $30,000 in damage to equipment at the Clarksville fire hall. He was a volunteer with the department at the time.
