Livingston County Sex Offender Charged With "Forcible Touching"

SPRINGWATER - Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Mount Morris sex offender for charges of Forcible Touching of a Minor. David Pfuntner, a level 3 New York State Sex Offender, was arrested for Forcible Touching, including 2 counts in the Town of Springwater for activity that transpired in 2013 and 1 count in the Town of Ossian in 2015.  The age of the victim in 2013 was 13 years old and the age of the victim in Ossian was 15.  The District Attorney’s Office recommended bail in the amount of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.   Pfunter was arraigned in Springwater Town Court before Justice Haywood who set bail at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond. The investigation was conducted by Sheriff’s Investigators Brad Schneider, Josh Monster, and Dan Rittenhouse under the direction of Captain Brian Applin, all of the Criminal Investigations Division. Also assisting in the investigation was Dansville School Resource Officer Deputy Sheriff Bob Holt, the Livingston County District Attorney's Office and Livingston County Child Protective Services.
