Obituary: Andrew J. Gaeta, 53, Cuba

Andrew J. Gaeta:  Beloved Father

Andrew J. Gaeta, 53, of 4 Grove Street, Cuba, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 22, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital after suffering a stroke. Born on January 2, 1963, in Cuba, he was a son of John “Jack” and June R. Rose Gaeta. Andy was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1981.  He then attended Genesee Community College where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Communications. He was employed by Cutco Cutlery in Olean as a laborer for the past 29 years. Andy was a talented musician who had a passion for music.  He was lead guitarist for the band Reality Jones that played throughout Western New York for many years.  He liked watching the Buffalo Bills and St. Bonaventure Basketball, but most of all cherished and loved spending time with his girls.  He also enjoyed the company of his canine companions Sandy and Pearl. He leaves behind his two daughters, Hannah Gaeta of Cuba and Emma Gaeta of Cuba; three brothers, Paul (Vicky) Gaeta of   Cuba, Mark Gaeta of Belmont, David (Tina Smith) Gaeta of Cuba; three sisters, Christina (Jose Mazon) Gaeta      of Cuba, Debra Gaeta of Cuba, Pamela (Thomas) Burch of Friendship; the mother of his children, Amy Chalker of Belfast; many nieces nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents. The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5-9 p.m.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Cuba.
