Hornell - Edna Theresa Jones White, 90, of North Main Street Ext., passed away Wednesday (April 20, 2016) at the Hornell Gardens where she had resided the past week.
Born in Wellsville, May 27, 1925, the daughter of Walter and Emma Brownell Jones, she had resided in Hornell since 1936. On August 21, 1945, she married Leon “Gub” White Sr. They were married for 63 years before he passed away on January 8, 2009.
Edna was employed at the former Westinghouse in Bath, and later at the former Corbin Woodworking in Hornell for 18 ½ years prior to her retirement in 1975.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband in 2009, three sisters, Virginia Hilsdorf, Isabell Neu and Leona Hamilton, as well as one brother Walter “Bud” Jones.
She is survived by two sons, Leon “Gub” White Jr. and his wife Debra of Hornell, and Robert White and his wife Rita of Hornell, four grandchildren; Rebecca (Aaron) Button, Robert (Dawn Blough) White, Carla White and Allison White, 6 Great grandchildren; Taylor Button, Kelsey Button, Rylee Button, Nicholas Button, Delia Blough and Braelyn Connolly.

The family observed private calling hours followed by funeral services at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street, Hornell. Rev. Donald Maynard officiated. . Burial will be in Heritage Hill Cemetery, Arkport.
