The 20,000-square foot facility, located at the corner of Hamilton and North Barry streets, opens for classes this fall. JCC’s Olean MTI was established to educate students in advanced manufacturing programs and processes and features specialized training space for machining and other industrial skills, light duty labs, and a computer-aided design lab.
Enrolled students eligible for scholarship consideration must be enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester in either a JCC certificate or degree program in computer-aided design/computer numerical control, industrial equipment technology, machine tool technology, mechanical technology, or welding technology, or who are taking remedial or prerequisite coursework necessary to enter these programs.
Scholarship funds earmarked for students enrolled in programs at MTI have been provided by area businesses to support workforce development efforts.
Individuals interested in applying to JCC, touring MTI, and learning more about the Cattaraugus County Campus MTI scholarship opportunities should call JCC’s admissions office, 376.7528, or visit www.sunyjcc.edu/mticattco.
