Olean: Veteran firefighter acquitted of two misdemeanor charges

In Olean city court Monday, 50-year old Michael Connelly was acquitted of a misdemeanor assault charge. The case stemmed from an incident in February. Also on Monday, in Portville court, Connelly was acquitted of misdemeanor DWI, however he was found guilty of driving while ability impaired, a violation. Connelly is a nearly 30 year veteran of the Olean City Fire Dept. He’s been suspended without pay.
