Wellsville: More bricks tumble at Burrous Building

As crews from K.S. LaForge work to stabilize and secure the Burrous Building on North Main Street in Wellsville, Village Public Works Director Bill Whitfield said Monday night that more bricks are tumbling. Whitfield told the village board that work is going well, but recent weather caused some bricks to drop on the "back side." However, Whitfield and Mayor Judy Lynch did have some encouraging news to report. Once some more construction goals are met, the 'green' fence on North Main Street will be removed. Village officials admit, the many Main Street windows on the building have been damaged...however, thanks to volunteers and artists, officials say the Main Street former store-front will be very visually appealing.
