Wyoming County Deputies arrest two men during traffic stop

Wyoming County deputies said two men were arrested Tuesday night following a traffic stop on State Route 98 in the Town of Sheldon. Deputies said Andrew Osborne, 23 of Akron, was stopped for speeding. A roadside investigation revealed that Osborne had allegedly given a 15 year old girl in the vehicle marijuana and allowed her to smoke marijuana in his vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, Cody Crandall, 19 of Attica, was also allegedly smoking marijuana in the vehicle in the presence of the 15 year old girl. Deputies said Osborne failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for Driving While Impaired by Drugs. He submitted to a Drug Recognition Evaluation conducted by Sergeant Reagan, a drug recognition expert. Sergeant Reagan determined Osborne was impaired by Cannabis. Crandall was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He was released on Appearance Tickets and is due in Sheldon Court on April 18, 2016. Osborne was charged with Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the Second Degree (Class D Felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Aggravated DWI with a Child Under 16 in the Vehicle (Class E Felony), Driving While Impaired by Drugs, and Speeding. He was arraigned and committed to the Wyoming County Jail on $2,500 bail. He is also due back in court on 04/18/2016. The 15 year old girl was returned to her parents.
