Armed robbery in Galeton - second in a month

The Galeton Borough Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Acorn Market in the Borough about 4 o’clock Tuesday morning. Police said the suspect displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was hurt, according to Police Chief Chris Brackman. The suspect is about 6' and about 165 pounds and was wearing dark athletic pants with stripes down the side of the pants and sneakers with stripes on the side, dark sweat shirt and a ski mask. About a month ago, Galeton police also investigated an armed robbery involving a handgun at the Galeton Nittany Mini Mart. Police are not ready to say if the two robberies are connected.
