Belmont BOCES students: Leaving a Natural Legacy . . .

Courtesy of CA BOCES -
On Wednesday, May 11, the seniors from the Natural Resources Class at the Career and Technical Education Center at Belmont planted several white pine seedlings received from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Seedlings in the Classroom Program. The NR students were required to research the planting methods and space requirements for the seedlings. According to Natural Resources Instructor Thomas Murphy, “The students wanted to leave their legacy behind similar to the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.”
