Deputies: Marijuana "grow operation" busted in Wyoming County

Vicki L. Tuttle , Age 56,  Syler Road  Varysburg, NY
Sarah M. Schulz,  Age 28 , Syler Road  Varysburg, NY
Donald W. Schulz, Jr.,  Age 37,  Syler Road  Varysburg, NY

Four people were arrested following the execution of a search warrant on Syler Road in the Town of Orangeville.  Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Syler Road for a domestic incident.  While investigating the domestic incident, deputies said they could detect an odor of fresh marihuana throughout the residence.  After clearing from the scene, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. 
Deputies executed the search warrant and located Dan J. Tuttle outside allegedly pulling marihuana plants. Deputies said he was then trying to concealing the plants elsewhere on the property.  A search of the residence led to the discovery of two indoor canvas marihuana grow tents, a hidden marihuana grow area,  other pieces of marihuana growing equipment, and several pieces of marihuana smoking paraphernalia.  Five ounces of marihuana was seized during the search warrant. 
Dan J. Tuttle, Vicki L. Tuttle, Sarah M. Schulz, and Donald W. Schulz, Jr. all resided in the residence together.  Additionally, Sarah and Donald’s 9 year old, 5 year old, and 1 year old children all resided inside the residence. 
Dan J. Tuttle was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Growing Cannabis, Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the Fourth Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Tampering With Physical Evidence.  Vicki L. Tuttle was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Growing Cannabis, Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the Fourth Degree, and Endangering The Welfare of a Child.  Sarah M. Schulz was arrested and charged with Endangering The Welfare of a Child.  Donald W. Schulz, Jr. was arrested and charged with Endangering The Welfare of a Child.
All four subjects were issued appearance tickets for their charges and scheduled to appear in the Town of Orangeville Court on May 25, 2016.
