Friendship man receives probation in felony DWI case

In Allegany County court Monday, Todd A. Howard, 29, of West Main Street in Friendship was sentenced to five years probation for driving while intoxicated. The charged was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. Prosecutors said that on December 26, 2015, Howard was drunk behind the wheel when he had an accident with a child in the vehicle. In addition, a judge fined the man $1,000, ordered him to perform 30 hours of community service and attend a victim impact panel. Howard's license was also revoked for one year and he must use an ignition interlock system.
