Hartsville Town Board taking more hits

The Hartsville Town Board is taking some hits from a group called “Hartsville Friends of Wind Power.” The group is urging local residents to attend the next Hartsville town board meeting Wednesday night. In a paid political ad, the group says “proposed wind projects…could add $500,000 or more annually to the town coffers for the next 20 years.” Landowners, they say, also stand to profit from leasing their land. According to the ad, “Hartsville is rich enough. Just ask the Town Board.”  The group says you don’t have to be pro wind, just pro economy.
