House trailer destroyed by fire in the town of Genesee

Portville firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the area of Coon Hollow Road, near route 305, in the town of Genesee. When the Portville fire chief arrived, he said a house trailer was fully engulfed in flames. Extra help was called in from Westons Mills, Town of Olean, Clarksville and Cuba. The home was destroyed. No word on the cause but Allegany County fire investigators and state police responded to the scene. Fire units returned to service about 3 a.m. Sunday. Photo courtesy of Portville fire.
