Shinglehouse man dies in Route 19 crash in Allegany County - UPDATED

On May 18, 2016 at 8:45 pm, Troopers and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) responded to State Route 19, Caneadea, NY, for a reported serious automobile accident. The 2004 Lincoln being driven by Brandi L. Sullivan, 19 of Belfast, NY, was operating southbound on SR 19 when the vehicle drifted off the west shoulder, struck a guardrail end and traveled along an embankment before sliding sideways and striking a tree on the passenger side. Sullivan, front seat passenger Blake D. Cooper, 19 of Belfast, NY, and rear the driver seat passenger Tyson C. Logue, 19 of Belfast, NY, all sustained minor injuries and were transported by Belfast Ambulance and Houghton Ambulance to Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY, where they were treated and released.

The second back seat passenger, Anthony R. Logue, 39 of Shinglehouse, PA, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Allegany County Coroner Ted Crowell. The deceased was removed to the Monroe County Medical Examiner pending an autopsy. The accident was reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU).

The cause of the accident is still pending investigation.
