CHIEFLAND, Fla. - Beverly June Glasspoole, of Chiefland, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Park Meadows. She was 85.
She was born April 28, 1930.
She retired from Acme Electric in 1992. She and her husband owned and operated the Cozy Corner for 16 years in Friendship, N.Y.
She enjoyed bowling, fishing, boating, ceramics and gardening. She was a snowbird, traveling to Florida for five years, and eventually moved to Florida permanently.
She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church and St. Albans' Episcopal Church in Chiefland, as well as the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are her four sons, David Wolfgang of York, S.C., Rod Glasspoole of Angelica, N.Y., Jerald (Sharon) Glasspoole of Friendship and Jamie (Corey) Glasspoole of Pine Bush, N.Y.; two daughters, Sharon (Les) Quinn of Forestville, N.Y., and Linda (Ralph) Plummer of Chiefland; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jerald, on Nov. 1, 2004; and a daughter, Diana Graham, on Nov. 21, 2015.
A memorial luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Belmont (N.Y.) American Legion.
