Sally A. Carney, 79, of 5440 Cook Hill Road, Town of Hartsville, passed away Thursday (May 5, 2016) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Wellsville, August 9, 1936, the daughter of Kenneth and Carmen Youmans Jones, she had resided in the Canisteo area all her life. She was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1954. Sally was a licensed real estate broker and had been associated with the former Canisteo Valley Realty, and later Carney Realty in Canisteo.
She was predeceased by her parents and one son, Mark Eugene Carney.
She is survived by her husband, Milburn Carney to whom she was married September 4, 1954, her daughters, Elydia (Thomas) Santee of Hornell and Julie Carney at home, her son David Carney of Livonia, grandchildren, Tamara (Alan) Scouten of Hornell, Alice (Christopher) Gross of Hornell, Kaitlynn (Matthew) Frawley of Bath, Melissa Carney of Bath, Erica Carney of Bath, Jessica-Carney Knowles (Matt) of Bath, Amber Holbrook and Kristy Carney both of Kentucky, great grandchildren, Sadie Santee, Natalie Gross, Everleigh Gross, Rogan Gross, Fiona Frawley, Rory Frawley, Eric Carney-Hendrix, Keagan Carney, Alexis Anderson, Madalynn Knowles and Raven Knowles.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2016, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo from 4 PM until 6 PM at which time a funeral services will be held with Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
