PA man jailed after traffic stop in Friendship

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on May 20th, 2016, following an investigation, deputies arrested Jay P. Rice II, Age 27 of Pennsylvania on the following charges:
 False Personation
 Obstruct Governmental Administration 2nd
 Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd
 No Seat Belt – Driver
 Operate Motor Vehicle Without Financial Security
 Operate Unregistered Motor Vehicle on Highway

Following a joint investigation with the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office and the McKean County Sheriff’s Office, Rice was arrested for the following charges after allegedly providing deputies with a false name and date of birth during a traffic stop on West Main Street in the Town of Friendship in April of 2016. Rice was held by the McKean County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to deputies.  Rice was transported back to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office for processing, arraigned in the Town of Friendship Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail on $20,000.00 Cash Bail or $40,000.00 Bond.  Rice is to reappear in the Town of Friendship Court on May 24th, 2016 at 5 p.m. for additional court action.
