PA: Shinglehouse boy drowns, dies UPDATED

Pennsylvania State Police say a 16-year-old Shinglehouse boy died during a drowning incident Saturday afternoon. Police said it happened at 3:25 p.m. at Oswayo Creek off route 44 in Ceres Township at the McKean/Potter County line. Authorities have not released the name of the victim. Cpl. Roger McCloskey said it was an accidental drowning and occurred while the teenager was "swimming in Owsayo Creek...the victim was unable to make it to shore and drowned." He said the investigation is continuing.
Rescuers from the McKean County Dive Team and Westons Mills were dispatched to the scene. CPR was attempted but was not successful.
