A report from Caring.com shows that New York may not be the best state for people 55 and older to live.
The report looked at quality of healthcare, support for seniors and family caregivers, and senior care costs. New York ranks as the third most expensive state for senior care. According to the report, a year in an assisted living community costs an average of $49,000 and a home health aide is around $52,600. New York also ranked 36th in healthcare quality.
