Serious crash, multiple injuries in Jasper -UPDATED, victims from NY & PA

Press release (issued at our urging):
On May 1st, 2016 at about 9:47 p.m., the New York State Police responded to a serious personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on St. Rt. #36 in the Town of Jasper, just south of the intersection of St. Rts. #36 and #417.  A northbound vehicle operated by Jade L. Mengee, age 18, of #80 Millheim Lane, Ulysses, Pa. failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, resulting in the vehicle exiting into a field adjacent to the west shoulder.  The vehicle then rolled repeatedly, ejecting the driver and all three of her passengers including Dustin K. Williams, age 20, of 131 First St., Westfield, Pa.; Larius G. Pierce, age 16, of #915 St. Rt. #36, Troupsburg, N.Y.; & Gregory S. Hanes, age 50, of #120 Railroad Ave., Westfield, Pa.  All occupants were initially transported to St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell, and subsequently transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  Mengee and Pierce are currently listed in Satisfactory condition, and Williams and Hanes are both listed in Guarded condition.  The N.Y.S.P. Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene, as did Steuben Co. District Attorney Brooks Baker.  Also responding to the scene were Fire Departments from Jasper, Woodhull, and Troupsburg, as well as ambulances from Jasper, Woodhull, Greenwood, Hornell City, and Rural Metro.  The accident is still under investigation.
