SP Amity – Scio Men Arrested on Multiple Burglary Charges

As the result of a lengthy investigation into burglaries in the Town of Wirt and the Town of Scio, State Police Amity, Bureau of Criminal Investigations (B.C.I.) arrested Justin M. Learn,19 of Scio, NY (top photo), and Ryan R. Mitchell, 24 of Scio, NY (lower photo) on numerous charges. State Police Investigator Scott Cicirello said both Learn and Mitchell were each charged with two felony counts of Burglary in the Second Degree in the Town of Scio and both were also charged with felony Burglary in the 3rd degree and two felony counts of Burglary in the Second Degree in the Town of Wirt. Mitchell and Learn were processed at SP Amity and arraigned in the Town of Wirt
Court in front of Judge Manners. Investigator Cicirello said both were remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. Both were directed to re-appear in Town of Wirt Court at a later date. The State Police were assisted in the case by the Allegany County District Attorney Kieth Slep.
