Trooper performs CPR and utilizes an AED at serious accident in Ontario County

On May 21, 2016, at approximately 1:54 p.m., state police responded to a two vehicle crash with serious injury on State Route 332 in the Town of Farmington, Ontario County.
A motorist traveling southbound on St-Rte 332, due to a possible medical condition,  crossed over the grass median and struck a motorist traveling northbound. When the trooper arrived, he observed the motorist of the southbound vehicle unresponsive. Trooper Sidney Bright immediately removed the operator and began CPR.  Trooper Bright then utilized his AED and after 1 shock, a normal heart rhythm was restored.
The operator, later identified as, Alfred Rossi, age 67, from Canandaigua, NY was taken to Strong Hospital for serious injuries.  The operator of the northbound vehicle, Elizabeth Barrett, age 52, from Canandaigua, NY was treated for minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
