Troopers arrest Cuba N.Y. man for DWI Leandra's law

On May 14, 2016 Olean-based state police responded to a "Be On The Lookout" for a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident in the City of Olean.  The vehicle involved in the hit and run accident was located on county Route 50 in the Town of Ischua.  While Troopers were interviewing the operator of the vehicle, Ryan D. McDonald age 27 of Cuba N.Y., he allegedly admitted to being the operator of the vehicle at the time of the accident.  McDonald was operating the vehicle with a 6 year old passenger and was operating the vehicle with a suspended drivers license. Troopers conducted field sobriety tests and determined McDonald was allegedly intoxicated.  Further investigation revealed a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.  BAC results .12%. He was charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation and endangering the welfare of a child.
McDonald was processed, arraigned and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash/$20,00 property. McDonald is to appear in the Town of Ischua Court on May 17, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
