Wellsville woman admits she sold heroin, receives probation

A Wellsville woman was spared jail time after she admitted to a felony crime May 27, 2016 in Allegany County court. Teresa M. Gray, 43, of West Pearl Street pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance, a B-level felony. She had faced other felony and misdemeanor charges. Assistant District Attorney Mike Finn said last September, Gray possessed and sold heroin to a confidential informant working for the Wellsville Police Department. Prosecutors said the drug deal happened with a child present. Judge Thomas Brown sentenced Gray to five years probation and ordered to make restitution in the amount of $75.
