Allegany County man charged with Rape 1st and other serious felonies

As the result of a continued investigation in the Town of Hume, the New York State Police at Amity, Bureau of Criminal Investigations (B.C.I.), arrested John A. Wesner, age 40 of Hume, NY, charging him with Rape in the First Degree (Class B Felony), Engaging in a Course of Sexual Conduct in the First Degree (Class B Felony), Incest in the 1st Degree (Class B Felony) and Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Class D Felony). He was arraigned in Allegany County Court in front of Judge Thomas Brown and was remanded to the Allegany County Jail with no bail.
The State Police were assisted in the investigation by Allegany County Child Protective Services, Allegany County District Attorney's Office and the NYSP Violent Felony Warrant Squad in SP Canandaigua.

As the result of a continued criminal investigation in the Town of Hume, New York State Police at Amity, Bureau of Criminal Investigations (B.C.I.), arrested Herman J. Hassell age 47 of Nunda, NY, on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (Class E Felony). Hassell was arraigned in Allegany County Court in front of Judge Terrence Parker and was remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He was directed to appear in Town of Hume Court at a later date.

The State Police were assisted in this investigation by Allegany County Child Protective Services, Allegany County District Attorney's Office and the Nunda Police Department.
