Allegany County man faces several charges

On Wednesday, Wyoming County Sheriffs observed a vehicle traveling with an insufficient brake light through Perry Center. After a traffic stop was performed, it was found that the vehicle operator, Edward Hagan, 30, from Swain, was operating on a suspended and revoked New York license. Hagan was arrested and issued tickets for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, operating without an interlock device, unlicensed operator and insufficient brake lights. Deputies said a search of Hagan’s vehicle resulted in the discovery of hydrocodone pills which resulted in an addition charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Hagan was arraigned on the charges and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $8,000 bond.
