The Allegany County Office for the Aging and Department of Social Services and the United States Postal Inspection Service are pleased to present Lottery Scams Targeting the Elderly on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Crossroads Center at 6087 State Route 19N in Belvidere. Shelly Carosella, U.S. Postal Inspector, will explain how lottery scams work and how to recognize the signs of lottery scam victimization. She will also offer practical tips for helping a victim stop participating, explain how to report a lottery scam, and how to protect your personal identifying information.
