Bath PD: No charges for Richburg driver in fatal vehicle-bike accident

Police are calling the death of a Bath man 11 days after a vehicle-bicycle collision a "tragic accident." John C. Sprague, 65, of Campbell Street died Monday after being involved in a bike-van collision on West Morris Street, near Tops, in Bath. Police Chief Chad Mullen said Sprague was riding his bike when he maneuvered around a parked car and struck the side of a van, driven by Nicole Courtney, 27, of Richburg. Sprague was not wearing a helmet. Mullen said the 65-year old man was flown to Robert Packer in Sayre, PA. with a head injury. He was released a few days later and then suddenly died Monday. The cause of death appears related to the collision. Chief Mullen said there will be no charges filed against Courtney. He said the incident was "simply a tragic accident."
