Caneadea man charged with vehicular manslaughter in death of 15-year old girl

State police Tuesday afternoon arrested Thomas R. Marion, 22, of Caneadea. He was charged with felony vehicular manslaughter involving the death of a child passenger, felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child and misdemeanor DWI. He was separately charged with unlawfully dealing with a child for allegedly providing alcohol to underage children. He was released to a third party pending further court action.
State police said the charges stem from a car crash May 7th at 1:04 a.m. on Dow Road in Centerville.  Five people were hurt in the crash. Marion was seriously injured after the car struck a utility pole. One of the passengers, Jasmine R. Uveino-Braymiller, 15, of Portageville, NY was fatally injured.
Uveino-Braymiller was student at Fillmore central School.

A press release from state police said
Marion had a .09% BAC on the night of the collision.
Marion was arraigned at Town of Centerville and was released on pre-trial release through Allegany County Probation. Marion is to return to Town of Centerville Court later in June 2016.

According to initial radio reports: 911 dispatch reported two people unresponsive, two people trapped. Emergency Services responded from Centerville, Fillmore, Pike and Houghton. Two sets of the jaws of life tool were requested. Mercy Flight 4 and Mercy Flight 5 were called to the crash and landed nearby.
