Facing massive media attention, Bradford man surrenders to police

The wanted fugitive,James D. Peters III, 21, of Bradford, has been arrested and remanded to McKean County Jail on $100,000 cash bail by Magistrate William Todd. Peters turned himself in at the City of Bradford Police station just after 4a.m. Peters faces several felony charges after he allegedly lead police on a high speed chase in a stolen SUV. Police said the there was also a handgun in the stolen vehicle which raised caution for police. The chase ended when Peters allegedly ditched the SUV in Limestone, then ran away on foot. Two juvenile girls were also reportedly in the vehicle during the chase.
