Fillmore teen likely to spend 21st birthday in prison

A Fillmore boy will likely spend his 21st birthday in a state prison. Allegany County Judge Terry Parker sentenced Tyler L. Evans of Crotty Road to 2 1/3 to 7 years in state prison. After a four-day jury trial in March, Evans was convicted of robbery 3rd and criminal possession of a weapon. The District Attorney's office said that in 2014, Evans, armed with a knife, robbed the 7-Eleven store in Almond for chump change. His accomplice, Aaron Withrow of Short Tract, received probation.
Evans was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of...$49.
